Introduction to millinery
This course is only for beginners to millinery, this workshop introduces student to basic
blocking, wiring and finishing skills. An ideal taster for those that
haven't tried millinery before but love hats. Blocking with – Sinamay, Straw hats etc Millinery stitch techniques, Hat Sizing, Turbans making, Trimmings-
working with feathers
Fascinators-----Working with Sinamay and different types of feathers to create your fascinators, you will learn how to cut Sinamay and trim feathers and hand stitch together to create striking fascinators. Get details step by step for making fascinator/headpiece
Flower Making--------Discover tools &
materials required steps for making flower, using Cotton
Organza, silk organza, satin, velvet etc to
create your own beautiful flowers
Feather Fascinators---Learn how to trim and shape feathers, working with different of feathers to build own feathers fascinators, by stitch or glue and taping with flower tape. learn tools and materials required
Hat Blocking ---Lean to make beautiful hats and trim your hat, how to block, wire your hat, do your hats finishing with petersham and trimming the hats with feathers and any hats accessories that you want to decorate your hats.
